COVID-19 NOTICES
YOUR SAFETY - OUR PRIORITY!
UPDATED 5/14/2020
As a dental practice in the health field, Dr Ivans has prided herself in maintaining a high quality-of-care, which has included adhering to strict sanitization procedures not only for our patients, but for our valued staff as well. We closely monitor the latest guidelines and directives from the CDC, ADA, and WA Dept of Health among others.
As COVID-19 continues to shape our day-to-day lives, here at Whalestooth Dental we remain committed to your safety. Some additional steps that we’ve taken to keep you safe:
Pre-screening. As we reach out to confirm appointments, we will be asking some screening questions. NOTE: ALL appointments will need to go through our pre-screening process at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. We will also be asking those same questions upon arrival of your appointment.
Appointment Care
Waiting-in-CAR. We are asking that all patients, where possible, wait in their car rather than in the waiting room.
Hand Sanitizer will be dispensed on entry to the reception area.
Masks are required for anyone entering and leaving the office up until the procedure begins.
Temperature Screening and Oral Peroxide Rinse.
No guests except a caregiver. If you need to bring a caregiver, please let us know in advance as they will need to be pre-screened as well.
Sanitization. Each patient touchpoint will be sanitized after every patient interaction.
While we understand that some may find additional protocols burdensome, we ask for your patience and understanding as we strive to care for our community. A mask is more comfortably worn with a smile even if it’s hidden.
CURRENT OFFICE SCHEDULE
UPDATED 5/19/2020
Please note our schedule could change on short notice.
We are very excited to announce that after 2 months of only being able to treat emergency patients, we have been given the clear to open for all appointments!!
However, we can not operate at the capacity we have prior. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients, this means we will be seeing fewer patients in a day. That might mean a longer period between now and your next appointment.
We appreciate your patience as we work hard to get you back on the calendar.
COVID-19 SURCHARGE
UPDATED 5/14/2020
We've had to make the tough decision to add a $40 COVID fee to each appointment. We do not take this decision lightly as we are well aware of the economic strains many are facing. However, to continue operation under a drastic increase in costs of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the necessity of adding more time to appointments, and other overhead this increase is unavoidable.
At the same time we are continually looking for ways to streamline processes where we can. One way is to decrease the time we spend on billing. One aspect of this is having patients with insurance pay at time of service and have the insurance payment go directly to the patient.
We continue to offer ALL patients a 5% discount for paying in full by cash or check at time of service.
